HE is beautiful and He raises us up in His image as He loves us. :) I'm glad He noticed me when He passed by, and chose me and even told me 'why.' I'm glad that God doesn't lie and I can believe Him when He says my tears are worship and not to be despised. He gives special treasures to us when we miss the boat or go through trials that seem to set us off course or hinder the way. So I am praying that He will bless you EVEN MORE and move through you EVEN MORE POWERFULLY than if those circumstances hadn't happened. He recompenses in ways that only He can. Bless you!! I disagree with the cliche of "seeking His hand and not His face," or His gifts (manifestations) and not Him. Why do you separate the two? Jesus didn't. When someone needed His power in their lives, He gave it freely, and it revealed His Lordship and drew them to Him. We are losing a generation who needs God's power. They can't see God, in the world or in the church, they can't hear His voice, they can't feel His manifest Presence, as all of the above have been stifled and eliminated from most churches. God is longing for His Bride to celebrate and welcome Him in all His glory, and that includes His power, and everytime the church starts to tear down walls, someone in the church tries once again to lay out the rules and create a doctrine for how it should be done. Done with that. Get out of God's way please and consider what it is you're truly afraid of, and what is being sacrificed in this desire to control and contain the Holy Spirit. Anything real in life is messy, and there will always be people who are disgenuine or fortune seekers. I agree with Jeanne. It seems to me that this would not even be an issue if the Church was walking in normal Christianity. Miracles, signs and wonders are intended to be the NORM for the Church. Instead, the supernatural power of Christ has been so absent from the Church that the Church itself is not used to it & is still trying to adjust to the reality of it. The very reason it's become the focus is because it's so unusual ... & should not be. I find it just plain ridiculous when in meetings Holy Spirit decides to manifest supernaturally and the people are chided for being excited and childlike about it. I have been sensing these mentioned things very strongly ever since God opened my eyes to more of the things of the spirit. It can be very discouraging when this truth is not heard and remembered in the churches. But I am greatly encouraged to see this, and I pray that the Lord would continue to open eyes and cause us to remain, and turn back to being, focused SOLELY on Jesus. May the spirit stir the hearts of the believers mightily, to long for truth and humility, and to see Jesus alone lifted high!! I am also not against prophecies and miracles and all the wonderful awesome things that God does and I love talking about it! But, I have not been a part of a church in a very long time. It helped me to separate for awhile. I have seen the gold and many other manifestations over the years. I also saw people become obsessed with the manifestations and no longer focused on our Precious Savior. I have learned "there is power in humility" I would much rather be an anointed moses who was so shy he didn't feel like he could even speak, but oh what miracles and power in all of that humility.
